U.S. GDP sees worst quarterly fall since 1982
The U.S GDP plummeted at an annualized rate of 6.3% in the last quarter of 2008, the sharpest decline of economic activity in 26 years, the Commerce Department reported. The final figure was a little better than the 6.6% drop expected by economists polled by Briefing.com and a little worse than the government's projection of a 6.2% decline. CNNMoney.com (26 Mar.)
